The Mission

Making Bodies Equal.

We are a community calling out the harmful impact that commodification of women's bodies causes for all people. Our mission is to normalize the human body, end censorship rooted in misogyny, and create a world where equality isn't optional.

The Double Standard Is the Problem.

One chest is acceptable. Another is obscene. The only difference? The gender society assigns to it.

This isn't about nudity. It's about power. The same chest that generates billions in advertising revenue is censored on social media, criminalized in public spaces, and weaponized against the very people it belongs to.

If you walk into a strip club, a woman's topless body is suddenly legal, as long as it's for a man's enjoyment and for the profit of the man who owns the club. But step outside, and that same body is a crime.

Censorship has never been about protection. It's about control.

Why We Exist

Because the System Is Broken.

Stop Criminalizing Nipples

Challenge body-based sexism and the laws that treat one chest as acceptable and another as obscene.

Break Censorship Systems

Dismantle the censorship policies that punish women for existing in their own bodies.

Normalize Body Equality

Build a world where all chests are treated equally, in law, in media, and in culture.

Give Power Back

Restore voice, agency, and opportunity to women who've been oppressed, shamed, or silenced.

Body Equality

Every Body. Every Chest. Every Story.

This movement stands with and for every person navigating their relationship with their chest, no matter their identity, their history, or their needs.

Cis Women

Challenging the shame and double standards placed on the female-presenting chest. Fighting censorship and reclaiming ownership.

Trans Men & Transmasculine People

Supporting access to chest surgery and affirming care. Your chest, your decision, your right.

Trans Women & Transfeminine People

Advocating for access to gender-affirming chest care. Every woman deserves to feel at home in her body.

Nonbinary & Gender-Diverse People

Supporting body autonomy beyond the binary. Your relationship with your chest is yours alone to define.

Reconstruction & Reduction

Standing with anyone seeking chest reconstruction after illness, injury, or for quality of life. Medical need is not cosmetic vanity.

All Bodies

No conditions. No qualifications. If you have a chest, this movement is for you. If you care about equality, this movement needs you.

What We Do

1

Fund Chest Surgery

We raise money to directly fund chest-related procedures for people who cannot afford them, including reductions, reconstructions, augmentations, and gender-affirming surgeries.

2

Fight Censorship

We challenge discriminatory censorship policies on social media, in public spaces, and in legislation through advocacy, art, and organized action.

3

Build Community

Through events, workshops, walks, and panels, we create spaces for people to share stories, find solidarity, and build collective power.

4

Change the Narrative

Through media, education, and cultural work, we shift public understanding of the chest from an object of shame or profit to a part of the human body deserving of respect.

“Boobs Aren't Real is created to bridge the gap between how we are told to exist and how we actually do. Society is comfortable selling the female form, yet uncomfortable seeing it in public. Our work explores these contradictions, the friction between the ‘sanctioned’ image and the ‘forbidden’ reality.”
